Dense clusters of small, Butterfly-shaped flowers colored either rose, violet, pink, or white open at the ends of tall, woody stems spirally cloaked by pungent, palmate leaves. Self-sowing annual for the back of the border or for use in mass plantings. Cutting blooms encourages branching and reflowering through the summer and into the fall. (Synonym: Cleome spinosa)
