Botanical Name: Aster oblongifolius ‘Rachel Jackson’
Common Name: “Aromatic Aster”
Characteristics:
Height: 2.5 to 3 Feet
Spread: 2.5 to 3 Feet
Light: Full sun to partial shade
Bloom: Oct-Nov
Description:
A special discovery made by Ryan Gainey in the garden of Rachel Jackson, this Aster is the last to bloom in late-fall. The compact, densely-branched plants are then covered by myriad small lavender Daisy flowers. It continues to provide an astonishingly colorful display even after autumn’s first light frosts.
