Botanical Name: Phyosostegia virginiana ‘Lavender’
Common Name: “Obedient Plant”
Height: 3.5 to 4 Feet

Late-season, lavender flowers open in leafy, six- to eight-inches long terminal spikes. Stems of this vigorous North American native become quite tall in rich, moist soil and may need support; however, height may be reduced when grown in poorer, drier situations. Nectar-rich blooms are very attractive to butterflies and make excellent cut flowers.
