Hydrangea macrophylla ‘Penny Mac’ – “Mophead Hydrangea”

Floriferous deciduous shrub introduced by and named for the founder of the American Hydrangea Society, Penny McHenry. Plants are said to bloom on both old and new wood providing globular clusters of blue (or pink if planted in non-acidic soil) blooms beginning in late-spring. Second flowering occurs on new growth later in the season.
